Shears Yard X Pinkster Gin Tasting Dinner

On June 6th, we are teaming up with the premium small-batch gin, Pinkster for a 5-course tasting menu and gin pairing dinner as part of Leeds Loves Cocktails festival!
Made with fresh raspberries, Pinkster is a characterful and deliciously dry gin with a hint of fruit and is the perfect tipple for our first tasting dinner of the summer.
The gin’s creator, Stephen Marsh, will join us especially to host the evening, discussing the fascinating story behind the spirit, as well as the flavour profiles and perfect food pairings.
Our executive chef, Jamie Clinton, has created a unique menu especially for the event inspired by the quintessential flavours of British summertime such as asparagus, venison, sea trout and of course, raspberries! Each course will be paired with delicious and seasonal Pinkster gin cocktails using homemade and foraged ingredients, created by our bar manager, Simon Tate
English asparagus & radish salad, baked potato emulsion, cured egg yolk & parsley oil
Poached sea trout, potted brown shrimp, scorched cucumber & nori mayonnaise
Venison loin cooked in juniper & pine, venison & black pudding sausage roll, beetroot ketchup
Compressed & roasted watermelon, goats cheese sorbet, basil & semi dried tomato
Victoria sponge with Pinksters ‘boozy raspberries’, summer fruit pastilles & white chocolate & gin syllabub
