Back and offering better value for money than ever before, the Shears Yard Tasting Dinner 2018 series begins with a one-off dynamic and interactive dining experience, hosted by award-winning Australian distillery, Four Pillars Gin.

Diners are invited to taste experimental and innovative dishes curated by Executive Chef Jamie Clinton and immerse themselves in his culinary vision first hand. And in a twist to previous events, the exclusive collaboration will be hosted by Joe Worthington of Four Pillars Gin, who will introduce the evening and talk through the drinks and incredible story of Four Pillars in between courses.

Jamie’s forward-thinking and imaginative menu uses only the freshest and most exceptional array of produce from the best suppliers around Yorkshire. It has been designed to blend seamlessly with the botanicals found in Four Pillars’ core range of gins.

Our adventurous guests will be presented with a five-course menu of creations including:

  • Crab & lobster pommes dauphine, samphire, orange, lobster mayonnaise & caviar
  • Jersey royal, black garlic, asparagus, aerated goats cheese & wild garlic
  • Sea trout cured with pine & Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz, red grapes, radish & dill
  • Lamb cannon rolled in onion seed, lamb dopiaza spring roll, finger lime, coriander butter milk
  • Rhubarb & raspberry, black pepper sponge, iced parfait, meringue, cardamom

Four Pillars worked closely with Jamie to pair each course with five of its world-class gins, including the Rare Dry, Spiced Negroni, Navy Strength and Bloody Shiraz lines, that will be served by Joe alongside each course.

With just 30 seats available, guests get an exclusive and personalised evening with the chef and Four Pillars representative, as they prepare and serve the multi-course paired dinner menu.
