Shears Yard x Marussia Beverages: Sherry Tasting Dinner

No longer just your Granny’s favourite tipple, Sherry is now the drink of choice amongst discerning drinkers; and on 29th March, we are hosting a 5-course tasting menu and sherry pairing dinner to celebrate all that is great about the fortified Spanish wine.
The evening will be hosted by Tom Finnon of the premium drinks specialists, Marussia Beverages and Hedonist Project who will provide insight into the fascinating world of sherry, as well as the history of the drink.
This is unique opportunity to learn about this incredible drink while enjoying exciting dishes created by our Head Chef, Jamie Clinton. Each course has been crafted to compliment the flavour profiles and character notes of the different blends of sherry that we’ll be serving on the night.
-Soft tacos filled with scorched corn, garlic buttermilk, salt baked & pickled kohlrabi, soy cured egg yolk
-Octopus braised with chorizo & saffron, langoustine jus, shaved fennel
-Pork belly brined in coffee then cooked for 24 hours, French style black pudding, sprouting broccoli, toasted almonds, raisin & caper vinaigrette
-Paprika & manchego goujere, semi-dried grapes & air dried ham
-‘Trifle’ golden syrup sponge, rhubarb jelly, sherry cream, custard
