We have teamed up with one of our favourite drink brands for an evening of food and gin-cocktail pairing. On June 4th, we are bringing you four courses of unmistakably Shears Yard food, with each dish paired to four carefully crafted Portobello Road Gin based cocktail. And fear not, there won’t be a Bramble in sight.
In true Shears Yard style both the food and cocktail menu will offer a unique and intriguing tasting experience with unusual flavour combinations that are exciting both visually and on the pallet.
The event will be hosed by Portobello Road Gin’s Brand Director Tom Coates, who will lead an intimate discussion on the brand, the history of gin and the individual cocktails on the menu.
Rabbit ballotine, lobster beignet, lobster & orange reduction, carrot, coriander & fresh peas
Gin cured sea trout, burnt cucumber sorbet, pickled fennel, radish & dehydrated olives
Juniper rubbed venison fillet, venison parfait, black pudding, dandelion & blueberry ketchup.
Beetroot & blackberry ‘eton mess’ liquorice ice cream.
The Vegetarian Option
Spiced bean fritter & sesame flatbread, masala caramel, carrot mousse, coriander & fresh peas.
Grilled Yorkshire asparagus, asparagus emulsion, burnt cucumber sorbet, pickled fennel, radish & dehydrated olives.
Wild garlic & dandelion pearl barley risotto, spring onions, charred leeks & charcoal oil.
Beetroot & blackberry ‘eton mess’, liquorice ice cream.
Tickets are £40 and include four courses, four cocktails and the talk.
